High quality thick wire, works well on the street too.
These appear to be good quality items. The wire is strong. I have warm traditional white transparent bulbs. Bought two boxes with two spikes each. Three cords were attached to an indoor tree and I attached one outside to a 3.5 foot tall periwinkle in the backyard that was connected to an outside outlet. They all played great and the string that was left on the street keeps playing. It's been going since I hung a thread on a tree in early December. I've never turned it off despite the rain and sun and they still work as they should. As such, they appear to be as functional indoors and out as they claim.
