Review on Philips Norelco Detail Trimmer Series 1000: Precision Hair Trimming for Ears, Eyebrows, Sideburns, Goatee, Mustache - NT1000/60 by Becky Ness

I've only had it for over a month so I can't give it 5 stars. Otherwise, the thing is used regularly. It doesn't give me a close shave, but I already have a razor that does. Instead, this thing makes me better: a very small amount of grass in the field. I love having a 5 o'clock shadow and this thing gets me there. It does a good job of trimming the neck area. I don't slit that part of the throat [both sides] very well where in movies and the like people put their fingers on your throat to check your pulse; but then again I never use the smaller side on this part. Speaking of which, I didn't even realize when I bought it that it's double-sided. I use the smaller side here and there for the mustache, for example. Also, you wouldn't think of anything with photos, I would think of this thing bending: no, nice surprise. I find this angle helps me trim both sides of my face even if I only have one dominant hand. This trimmer uses 1 AAA battery. I left the battery in - even when not in use and I think it will be dead in a month. Or maybe not; Maybe I just took the battery out too soon. So keep that in mind guys. I tend to clean small blades after about a minute of use (basically I just unplug them for a moment to run my finger over them); or, if I'm really going to do it, after a few passes. Until the thing broke, this was the main negative I read from people's reviews of this thing. So if you buy it try what I do because it works for me.
