Philips Norelco Detail Trimmer Series 1000: Precision Hair Trimming for Ears, Eyebrows, Sideburns, Goatee, Mustache - NT1000/60 Review

I really like this product as it shaves off the hair and leaves a little matt, it's really nice (instead of being totally nude) but I've been through 3 of these now since they incredible are poorly put together. Each of them broke in its own and unusual way: in the first case, the head with the blades came off and could not be reset, in the second case the batteries stopped powering the razor, and in the third case the power button completely broken, causing the head to fall off. Have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it still cuts well. Use it to trim your ears, nose, eyebrows and some parts of a gorgeous beard. I don't like that you can't put a hat on with the protection. I see myself losing it when I travel. Wait, I think I can just put on a guard and use that instead of a cap. How about. :)

Works well, but not perfect. I always have to remind myself that you usually get what you pay for. I used this once and it seemed to work well, but it didn't really cut my hair too fast. There were some random twitches and pulls that didn't feel too good. But it was so cheap. I went and bought a $15 beard and hair trimmer kit at a local store and used it.

Not the best trimmer I've ever had. The motor is slower than some other trimmers on the market and multiple passes are required to get a proper cut. I wouldn't buy again but reasonable for the price.

I've only had it for over a month so I can't give it 5 stars. Otherwise, the thing is used regularly. It doesn't give me a close shave, but I already have a razor that does. Instead, this thing makes me better: a very small amount of grass in the field. I love having a 5 o'clock shadow and this thing gets me there. It does a good job of trimming the neck area. At first I liked the concept of this trimmer. However, this was poorly designed. The components of the mechanism interfere with each other and cause jamming. It looks like the designer didn't create tolerance stacks. Weak, poor choice of plastic. It seems that a senior manager lowered his costs :-) It went out of service within a month, then fell apart and couldn't assemble it.

Product didn't last four months. Turned it on yesterday and suddenly it stopped working. I put a new battery in to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't. I tried to make the right choice with Revain products but it was either a bad choice or a defective product. Even when I received it, the trimmer seemed to be underperforming, almost like it was running on a low battery. I hope to be able to replace it under warranty. But at this point I would rate this Philips Norelco 1000 series…

I had several trimmers. It's simply the best I've ever had. They are very easy to manoeuvre, I have had them for a long time and they work consistently clean.
