Easy to install, excellent quality at an affordable price

Easily connect the camera to your local network by adding the camera to the CamHi app. Just follow the instructions in the included user guide. I then quickly connected the camera to Blue Iris. The camera is designed to be mounted on a wall or ceiling, not a flat surface such as a shelf or table. So if you want to mount it on a flat surface, you need to build a frame for it. The kit includes a mounting clip that can be screwed to a wall or ceiling. Then the camera is placed on this clamp and screwed to the clamp. Maybe I'm not the smartest of this group but I couldn't find instructions for the clip so I had to figure out how to remove the clip from the camera since it was in the box. Only two small screws had to be removed, which then had to be reinstalled as part of the bracket. The clamp is a great design feature of the rig as it is much easier to attach the clamp than the complete camera itself. I speak from personal experience. I rarely use the CamHi app because all my security cameras are set to Blue Iris. The photos I have included in this review are from Blue Iris. There's one more thing I did with this camera that may not apply to other buyers: I switched the camera from Wi-Fi to PoE. (For those unfamiliar with PoE, this means that instead of using Wi-Fi to transmit the signal and the power cord plugged into a wall outlet, it uses an Ethernet cable to provide power and transmit the signal.) I did not know it. I had planned to do this when I bought the camera, but due to limitations in Blue Iris I've switched most of my cameras to PoE and this was one of them. Switching to PoE was easy, although the camera wasn't designed for PoE. It only needed a splitter. In the end I give this camera 5 stars because it was easy to install (in CamHi and Blue Iris) and convert to PoE. In addition, the camera holds everything that is advertised. I couldn't find any fault in it.
