OK. I know you get what you pay for and at 10.99 for four turn signals I wasn't expecting the cream of the crop. Although I expected something useful. Let me tell you about all the problems with these lights. Note that the description of the kits I bought said they would fit a 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan VN1500. You either have to lengthen the lines for these signals or, even better, connect them to the original wiring. I could live with that. I speak even better because. 2) The connectors used on these wires are very small. Much smaller than any standard plug on any bike I've ever worked on. I could handle it. 3) After mounting to the rear bracket with the fairing installed, the stems are two to three inches shorter. Only about half an inch of the actual signal protrudes from under the cover. I could live with that. I wanted to 3D print a shorter overlay. 4) Turn signals rely on the resistance of the bulb's filament to affect the speed at which the signals flash. Because they're electronic and don't have a resistive element, LEDs tend to flash much faster if they're not properly charged. Of course, they don't charge properly, so they flash faster than usual. I used to add ballast resistors to LED converters - it's no big deal to me. I could live with that. 5) If you read all the reviews here you will see that many of them say how bright they are and even show photos. What you might (or should) notice is that all of these photos were taken in the dark. Of course, in the dark they can be bright enough to be seen. But what to do during the day? Unlikely. I was hooked and they were fair. on the. You can easily miss them from a vehicle 100 feet or more away from you. And let's be honest - isn't that why we need turn signals on our bikes in the first place? I could live with that, at least knowing it's a temporary fix. 6). and it's one I couldn't live with. I am not only a mechanic with over 15 years of experience, but also an electronics engineer with over 30 years of experience. Of course I know how to connect a turn signal. Once connected, we tried them. Left. Yes, the left signal is flashing, albeit a bit quickly. Right. Yes, the right signal is flashing. like the left signal! I wasted no time trying to figure out how he achieved that last little achievement. I had had enough of "I can live with that" at this point. I took them off, wrapped the broken stems of my original signals in popsicles and duct tape, and reinstalled. I don't want to give any buying advice here. I told my story as it was. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not it's worth it in your case.
