I bought this specifically to connect an old iPod to a car stereo with a USB input, not a 3.5mm jack. WILL NOT WORK WITH CAR STEREO SYSTEM. I'm sure it works great for other purposes. but if, like me, you're trying to get your iPod to play in new cars, look elsewhere.
