I start with an art box and basic supplies as a gift for the kids in my family and the kids I know. I often give different types of pens, pencils, crayons, as well as glue, glitter, various items and always make sure to include a drawing pad for the kids to do something. They may have paper at home. Even without coloring objects, kids seem to enjoy having a notebook they can use to do everything from doodling to drawing.
