Garbage. With the engine off, the EQ will produce a series of loud thumps in the system when turned on, even if the volume is turned all the way down / the input is switched to an unused channel. When the engine is running, it hums terribly. I figured maybe just a bad ground, but even with a short ground wire to a known good ground point away from other grounds, it still howls like crazy. Just to be sure I tested the system without EQ and it works great. No problem. So it's definitely an EQ and I don't have to buy a filter just to use it. Again, it wouldn't matter if I bought a filter as the subwoofer's output channels are dead. The subwoofer works great directly from the head unit, but nothing comes from the equalizer. Dead as a wedge. Finally, whenever the kick kicks or the chords in the song change, the preamp creates beats in the audio signal, so the signal processor barely works. In fact, the only thing NOT broken about this POS is the blue lighting around the handles. Everything else was shot. Instead I get a Clarion EQS755.
