Review on Provision Playing Cards by theory11 by Leonardo Sandoval

Complex, interesting art. These are really beautiful well made cards

I gave these to my son and we were both so impressed with how artistic and good the artwork is in this deck of cards. We actually walked the whole deck together after he opened them and admired each and every one. A little background: I get sets of decorative cards as gifts for people quite often, and I've never had such a reaction from a recipient. These cards are very special. In the Provision Set, the King, Queen, and Jack of each suit represent the ruling class of another powerful nationality that emigrated to the States. The detail work on their clothes and the things they wear exceeds my expectations. Both historically significant and beautiful. In addition, they are simply very well made. They are comfortable to hold and mix. Not too slippery, but slippery enough and not too hard. Finally, the design doesn't prevent you from telling what card you actually have in your hand. Readability is a common issue with some other designer or themed decks I've purchased from other companies. But with this deck, you can clearly see what suit and what number each card represents. They stick with the traditional red and black on a white background and add an extra bit to make them even more legible - they display a number in the corner of the card that is usually left blank. So smart! I am very happy with this purchase and will be ordering more as gifts for others.
