Not only use for glasses!

a nice set of colors we use to mark items in the fridge (glass container). they work great and it rinses off immediately. Haven't tried it in the freezer or on plastic - I put them in the magnetic pen holder on the side of the fridge (I keep them upside down). Caps are quite difficult to remove/snap - can be difficult for those with limited hand dexterity
