I had to change one of them 10-12 years ago. Spent over $80 on John Deere. Found and judging by the "reviews" it should work. For reference, my old JD part number was M73484. It has been superseded by JD part number AM132770 which is also a replacement for AM131398 and M70114. This is on a JD 240 garden tractor with a 14hp Kawasaki FC420V-ES00 engine. I just made a small pigtail about 2 inches long from the extra piece of wire that came with the module, using crimp connectors. Mini-female connector on one end (to connect to the module) and a larger male connector on the other end (to connect to the original connector on the tractor). I also soldered the connectors to the wire after crimping as I didn't want them to come loose. Worked perfectly.
