I liked the construction of the monitor and the picture was very good, especially for the price. The touchscreen worked well, but as a portable monitor it didn't quite live up to the bill. Although it has two USB-C ports, one for power and one for video, you cannot turn off the monitor through the second USB-C port without using an AC adapter. Even if your laptop has a second USB-C port, there doesn't seem to be enough juice coming out of the port, so you're out of luck without an AC adapter plugged into the wall. I also couldn't get the monitor to display video through the USB-C port. Both of my laptops support video in ALT mode for USB-C, but the ONLY way to get this monitor to display anything is with an HDMI-to-mini-HDMI cable and a USB-C power cable plugged into the power adapter connected. And while the picture is good, I would hardly call this monitor portable. Why bother with USB-C power when you still need to use a wall adapter. 4 stars for functionality but 1 star for USB C not working out of the box which was a big plus and required plugging into an outlet.
