Once applied it stays on forever so please take the time to level it out. The plates are well made and perform as expected and distribute the weight of the monitor stand well. The biggest issue I have with this accessory is the adhesive on the sticker foam sheet. If you look at the close-up photo, you can see it on the outside of the styrofoam sheet. He's pretty sticky. If I hadn't noticed it before installing it, god knows what it would have done to the desktop. I was able to lose enough weight to feel comfortable installing these panels. I would buy this again. Yes, probably, but only because it matches this set and there isn't a competing product that does the same thing.
