I felt a bit squeamish paying $50 for kids shoes but they were very durable so it was actually cheaper than buying cheap shoes. All children's shoes, which cost between 20 and 30 euros, are made of thin material with no additional toe covering. So the toe area wears out very quickly and we have to buy new shoes every month. As you can see from the product listing, these Keens have a thick rubber coating on the toes that absorbs any damage. The Keens we bought were still in great shape when our baby outgrew them. So a $54 purchase that lasted four months is a lot cheaper than spending $25 a month for four months ($100). And they were still in great shape, so we passed them on. Great shoes for kids!
