Review on Split-Sole Suede Womens Ballet Belly Slippers For Ballroom Dancing With Leather Upper by Robert Worlds

These run a little big

These are nice-looking, and appear to be decent-quality ballet slippers. However, they run a little big. The vendor claims on the product page that they fit true-to-size. However, ballet slippers should fit snugly to the foot, and when I tried on the pair I just got in, they were a little loose. For reference, I am a dancer, and I would say they are about a half-size too big for me. I see now looking at the photos of the models' feet, that the slippers look too loose on all the models. Perhaps the vendor is unaware that ballet slippers are actually supposed to be a snug fit, and should not have "wiggle" room, as you would have with everyday foot wear.If you like your ballet slippers a little loose, then you should order your normal size. (I know some like to use ballet slippers as house shoes, or have foot problems that prevent them from being able to wear very snug footwear. In that case, your normal size should be fine.) However, if you intend to use these for dance, and want a proper, snug, professional fit, then order a half-size smaller than you would normally wear in street shoes.I cannot attest to stretch, since the ones I got are a bit loose, or comfort, since I will not be using this particular pair. I have ordered another pair in a half-size smaller, and will pass these on to someone else in my dance troupe who can use them.Aside from that, they seem to be very well-priced for the quality, and arrived in good condition, within a reasonable time frame.I will update this review when I receive the smaller pair.

Pros
  • They ate perfect for the outfit with comfort for the day
Cons
  • The split-sole design may not be suitable for individuals with weak or unstable ankles, making it difficult to maintain proper dance posture and balance
