I haven't seen one that lasts longer than 6-12 months. They're advertised to last for years (long enough to recoup their higher cost through energy savings and longer life than older incandescent bulbs), but in fact all CFL bulbs I've seen have the same problem - they're not designed for it , to function. on and off as often as it usually happens in the kitchen and at home. Sure, incandescent bulbs can last for years even if left on all the time, but in fact, switching causes them to die even faster than incandescent bulbs — a waste of money, plus environmental concerns due to the mercury vapor inside.
