I don't know why the person didn't buy this because it arrived broken. Yes, items can be damaged in transit or at any time during production. It happens. Given that there is a 12 month replacement policy I don't see how that guarantees a 1 star rating. The packaging is beautiful and minimalistic. It comes in one piece, fully assembled, with two additional screens as seen in other reviews. We had a broken glass so we opted for something heavier. I'm so glad we chose this one. Part of the canister is a solid piece of metal. It's not a piece of canister with a spout attached, that makes sense. And this is not a suitcase with an additional insulating mug inside. Sorry if this is confusing. I'll try to explain it to the best of my knowledge and belief. Water cannot get stuck in a nutshell. Does it keep warm/hot for a good hour? Or longer. It feels slightly warm but can be held by both the canister and the handle. The handle fits well and looks good. I am very impressed with the price as it is excellent value for money. The plunger part looks good and works beautifully. It also looks nice sitting on the counter, whether clean and empty or full of coffee grounds, waiting for me to wash it. Sounds silly but I'm sick of seeing my dirty french press on the counter waiting for my son to fall asleep to be cleaned. Can't wait to go camping with it too. I don't care about shipping at all. He can survive the journey, no problem. All in all a fantastic purchase. We're going to give this to the people we know because it's so awesome. A perfect birthday or engagement gift or just because.
