I really like this bath mat. I read the reviews and although other users expressed some concerns I decided to give it a try myself. The carpet doesn't cover the entire bottom of the tub, but I expected that. I don't think every inch needs to be covered anyway. We have a slightly textured tub surface so the mat doesn't stick like a regular suction cup will stick to a flat surface. Other users are right when they say that the mat doesn't stick to textured surfaces, but it doesn't slip either. But I put the mat away after I start filling the tub and when I pick up the mat after my son has bathed it makes a popping noise. So while it doesn't stick to the bottom of the tub, it does stick to our textured tub quite well. I think this brings me to my last comment. Many others have complained about the carpet becoming moldy after a few weeks of use. We had no problems with this, as we shake out the mat after each bath and hang it up as instructed in the instructions. This mat has done its job well so far and my son seems to like it too - it's good enough for me.
