Review on πŸ”« Dualco Short Nozzle Grease Gun by Steve Hauck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth the money if you value a good tool.

Well made, works as advertised, in use almost every day. Were a few bucks more than some, but everything from the piston tolerances to the return spring is better than the cheaper versions. If you want or need this guy, you can't go wrong with Dualco. The only downside is that you can't retrofit cheaper models with a Dualco cap and piston because the threads aren't compatible with the barrels on cheaper models. I bought a cheaper one for home use as I use my Dualco at a bike shop where I work part time. Oddly enough, until I read some of the reviews and studied the instructions more closely, neither I nor anyone else at the store understood how to properly load and load a shotgun. Many of these babies have been destroyed by trying to force the bottom up with various tools without unscrewing the top far enough to reveal a groove used to release pressure when loading a device or to remove a gap in the grease in a pistol serves. You can pound as much as you want, but if you don't release the pressure, you can only distort the bottom disk and ruin the gun. I bought another Dualco for home use, the cheap one makes good paper.

Pros
  • Easy to refill
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
