Review on High-Performance Western Digital 1TB WD Black Internal Hard Drive - 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cache by Eric Salem

UPDATED: After trying to simply reinstall Windows 10 on this drive, it seems unusable! I've been working on computers for 3 decades and I've never seen this before. Windows does not recognize the installation partition. Disk Management cannot even mount the drive (gives an I/O error). The WD software can't even test it (too many bad sectors). Third party software cannot delete it. My only option is an RMA which doesn't guarantee I'll get a new disc back and I have to pay for shipping! This is WD's fault and I have to pay for shipping. But hey, they actually get a discount so I can pay a little less after raking over the coals! Thank you Western Digital! Seriously, thanks! INITIAL REVIEW (IMMEDIATELY AFTER FIRST INSTALLATION): I used to have a WD Blue drive and it was a huge improvement over the previous one in terms of boot times! My computer used to take quite a long time to boot up, but now it's much faster! Gameplay has also been improved. I hope to live with this drive for a few years like I do with all my WD drives. Oh, and it's mostly silent! No ticking like other discs!
