Best bang for your buck in software publishing
This program has all of my favorite features from vim plus tons more that I have yet to discover! It's super easy to use as well (no need to read manuals!). The interface could be much nicer but it isn't too bad either. I've used this product exclusively since 2008 when we started using Linux at work and haven't had any problems with compatibility or anything like that. My only regret would probably be not knowing about other shortcuts until I found out myself after years of being happy typing away without looking down the manual every time. We are now running our entire business online through an email server so text editing was one thing where speed really mattered - having multiple documents open side by side made things way faster than just opening up another window.

- Many useful keyboard mappings for quick tasks, particularly common ones in various languages such s Spanish/English Bilingual inputting.
- Full Unicode support available if you'd rather write your own scripts yourself.
- Highly configurable syntax highlighting
- Lots o' builtin goodies including code folding etc., although sadly no native line numbering feature :(
- Config files can simply reside
