I have been using TextPad for many years. It handles text files in a way that I can use it to write a book review and a book for another person. I write for a living and TextPad is one of the few applications that I depend on to help me type. It is very reliable, stable, and it is easy to use. I like that you can drag in multiple documents into one window and edit them simultaneously. It's also very easy to find what word or phrase needs fixing when editing a document at home. You cannot save your work while working with it online so it always ends up being less efficient than just emailing someone (or posting comments) about something needing fixed.
