I have been a fan of "Cold Brew" coffee for a while. The flavor is smooth and generally doesn't have the bitterness of some other brews.This coffee maker is very simple and makes a decent cup of coffee, but my only problem with it is that it is loud. When setting the timer you have from 0 to 30 minutes and your coffee is made. It is an interesting machine. The carafe sits perfectly in the base, you set the timer, push the go button and walk away.Then the motor kicks in. The coffee goes into an infuser, something like I have seen in brewed tea makers. The difference is that this infuser has a little spinner at that bottom. The base has a magnetic spinner (I'm only guessing on the complete tech going on here) that spins and mixes the coffee so that it doesn't just sit sit in the bottom of the infuser. Mixing it about every 5 minutes or so, provides good flavor and and a dark rich color.It is easy to use, easy to clean, and provides a really good cup of coffee to drink as iced, or warmed up. Pretty good value for a coffee freaks coffee fix. This is a great gift opportunity. Enjoy some cold brew coffee, you deserve it. (Well I do anyway.)
