I bought two of these to use for animated Halloween screens with a projector; I used to use a laptop computer to play my videos and content, but these media players make setting up my displays for Halloween so much easier! I don't have to take my computers outside, which protects them from potential damage from humidity and inclement weather. Also the sight of computers hooked up next to the projectors killed the spooky atmosphere; These media players are small enough to easily fit in the case along with the projector for a better overall effect. Also, the media players were relatively inexpensive, making them a worthy addition to my Halloween display gear. The media player works well with both HDMI and VGA projectors - I've tested them with both. The only thing is that when using the VGA output, you need to connect external speakers to the media player - sound is there, but not in the highest quality. If your audio is recorded with split channels, you may not hear all channels in the song (I noticed this while playing Bohemian Rhapsody). Small annoyance, but not crucial. A 3.5mm mono to stereo adapter may solve this problem. This isn't an issue with the HDMI output (which carries the audio signal). Bottom line: I would buy it again - and most likely will as my Halloween display grows and more effects are added.
