I bought these along with a crimping tool so I could fix part of my 100ft ethernet cable and not have to keep reattaching and hiding the cable. Unplugging the cables and plugging them into the connector is a nightmare, they are incredibly small and fragile, but I've done it twice and the first connector gave me a 10Mbps connection, the second gave me a 100Mbps / s connection. . It became clear that these connectors wouldn't save me the trouble of rewiring my apartment, so I ended up just buying a new 100-foot cable and plugging in the cable.
