I wouldn't use this unless you cover the front with a thin felt cloth. Like the ones you use for camera lenses. This will scrape the living devil out of your tank. It is best to just use a membership card, gift card or some kind of credit card and then use it when you have felt it from the front to easily remove algae such as dust or fine threads. Really disappointed with this product. I paid for really high quality acrylic and had my tank made to order. Everything was going great until this thing scratched him. The second algae cleaner I bought ruined one of my aquariums. The other is the infamous API Algae Scraper that scraped like hell out of a glass tank I once had. Companies really should be held liable for such products and pay for damaged tanks. Wouldn't recommend it.
