Yes, for professional photographers this is most likely not the wide-angle lens of choice. However, if you are new to photography or just want to experiment with a fisheye lens without spending a lot of money, this is for you. I'm not saying he takes poor quality photos. For most applications it does its job very well and to be honest you'll probably only notice a difference in low light or on cameras with more sensitive CCDs. For the Canon T2i, this is a nice addition to my bag. I can't say I shoot everything with it, but it's nice to have and I'm not complaining about the quality at all.
