Get fishy! - Lenses for cameras

I love it! I bought this fisheye lens extender a few years ago and it's great! However, if I remember correctly, I bought it for around $40 instead of the current price of $60 (although it's still worth the higher price). Overall, this product is very easy to use as it simply screws onto a standard lens with a double thread ring. I've had great results with mine, although I don't use it that often. Fisheye photography is definitely on the niche end of the spectrum, so the low cost of this lens…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Volume

Yes, for professional photographers this is most likely not the wide-angle lens of choice. However, if you are new to photography or just want to experiment with a fisheye lens without spending a lot of money, this is for you. I'm not saying he takes poor quality photos. For most applications it does its job very well and to be honest you'll probably only notice a difference in low light or on cameras with more sensitive CCDs. For the Canon T2i, this is a nice addition to my bag. I can't say I…

Not worth the money, rather spend a little more for real quality.

I've been trying to love this fisheye lens adapter for over a year. However, unless you want the fisheye effect for a special look, it's pretty much useless with my Canon lenses. This lens produces so much vignetting (black in the corners of the image) and color fringing (blurring in the outer third of the image) that images are almost unusable without extensive RAW processing. The weight of the adapter is also excessive, which can cause damage to the lens to which it is attached. Add to that…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Great entry level fisheye

I rate this lens 5 stars for value for money. Our kids told us they needed a fisheye lens for their DSLRs. When I started researching them on Revain, I was surprised to see a significant difference in cost. It turns out that this lens was considered more of a "toy" and real photographers would have to pay hundreds more for a more professional fisheye lens. That may be true, but I can tell you that our kids (both fairly serious amateur photographers) have taken, and continue to take, hundreds of

Cool Lens Accessory

Pros: I enjoyed experimenting with this accessory. This gives a cool effect to your shots and is great when you want to capture a very wide angle shot. I work for a construction company and I always try to capture as much as possible of the finished project at once to send to our evaluation team to add to the portfolio of successful works - this little app certainly helped and the guys at headquarters were impressed. I use this to attach to a Canon EFS 18-55mm lens I already had and it works…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

Just received this conversion lens. As other reviews say, you get what you pay for. But in this case it's not so bad. If you want to have fun experimenting with a wide-angle fisheye lens before buying the $600-$900 Pro option, it's definitely worth it. Fisheye pictures are something of a novelty and all the fun factor can wear off over time. Another reason to choose an inexpensive option. I'm not entirely sure why that matters, but the lens is actually made in China, not Japan. (Edit: I…
