Review on Opteka Professional Fisheye Digital Cameras by July Sin

I've been trying to love this fisheye lens adapter for over a year. However, unless you want the fisheye effect for a special look, it's pretty much useless with my Canon lenses. This lens produces so much vignetting (black in the corners of the image) and color fringing (blurring in the outer third of the image) that images are almost unusable without extensive RAW processing. The weight of the adapter is also excessive, which can cause damage to the lens to which it is attached. Add to that the autofocus disabling when the adapter is installed, and this is a very poor choice for any consumer except a beginner or fine art photographer. I cannot recommend this lens at all.
