Review on Motherboard Computer Aluminum Bracket Graphics External Components by Emmanuel Chouinard

Wrong color, prepare to fidget with your hands a bit

Pros: - Inexpensive, hard to find for the price. "Modularity means you can improvise a bit if you want, which I did. .-I had fun assembling it and am delighted with the end result. The Bad: - Difficult to get everything aligned and tighten well without adding extra supports. I was lucky enough to have a few things I could use to reinforce the corners. Acrylic parts were not very durable; The acrylic part of the GPU mount is a little cracked, but it's holding up (so far) - The layout is quite odd. If you have a larger graphics card and stick to the planned layout, it will hang over the edge a bit and take up more of the L-shaped space. The acrylic power supply only fits in ATX, which is a bit strange for an ITX build. . I had an SFX source, so I had to improvise and repurpose some of the hard drive's mounting details to fit the SFX form factor. The power button cable is very short and sticks straight out of the motherboard into the air; I would like to see something that could be installed on one of the rails. I ended up using a different button. Ugly: - The product says and shows black (there is a separate listing for red) but they sent me a red kit. I don't really care, but it can ruin an aesthetic build that was dependent on black. Conclusion: I had to make some changes to get what I liked, but in the end I'm quite happy with it. I think if you are imaginative and treat it more like a project kit to help you get there than a fully finished end product, you will be happy with the result.

Cons
  • Too long to wait
