The film adheres very well to my windows and you cannot see into my apartment on the 1st floor. They let in a decent amount of light (rather comparable to blinds down but open) but I wouldn't cover all the windows with them as it would darken the room and make it impossible to see outside. I only installed it on the bottom half of Windows. My setup doesn't look good. There are tons of air bubbles. Even with the bubbles, the stickiness hasn't suffered, but I also want to redo it to make it look better. I tried to do it myself and I just couldn't stop it from being attached to the window before I had the correct placement. So if you really want it to look good, I'd ask a buddy for help. It actually worked better when I didn't splash water on it, but it seems to stick just as well.
