Nice, light and portable tripod. The one I received is sturdy considering all the joints are extremely tight which will surely wear out over time. However, upon delivery the strap on the carrying case was broken and unusable and as others have complained there is a very strong plastic/rubber smell. Such a strong smell that I had to store it in the garage so it wouldn't spread throughout the house. Hopefully this will fade over time too, but as a nature photographer it cannot be used without warning the subject until the smell has gone. Personally, I wouldn't trust the included ball head, but for the price of this tripod, it does the job. Do I regret buying this tripod? no It's perfect for lighter work. Will I buy another brand of tripod in the near future? Yes. Mainly because of the smell. Due to the smell and the poor quality control of the tote bag (especially the smell, it's awful) I'm giving it 3 stars. As said, it can be used once you get over the smell, work the hinges and replace the ball head with a better one. But at this point you can also spend a little more for something like a Slik 700dx tripod and a decent ball head.
