DO NOT BUY FROM EPSON UNLESS YOU WANT POOR TECHNICAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND STILL HAVE A PRINTER THAT DOESN'T WORK!

The Epson Work Force WF-2630 printer is the worst printer I have ever seen in my life. Their tech support and customer service is also the worst ever. They don't stand behind their products at all. After six months of very moderate use, my Epson printer stopped printing with black ink. I have replaced the black ink cartridge with new Epson cartridges 3 times and it still does not print in black. I had surgery so I didn't contact Epson for months. When I contacted Epson they said there was a hardware failure and they replaced it with a refurbished Epson WF-2630. You think that's good customer service, but you're wrong. The refurbished printer only lasted a few months before running out of installation cartridges, which contained very little ink. When I tried to replace the ink cartridges in the replacement refurbished printer with two of the three new ones I had previously tried in a printer with a hardware failure, the refurbished printer did not recognize those cartridges as ink cartridges. So I lost the cost of three new black ink cartridges, $39, and the cost of three used color ink cartridges. I bought two more black ink cartridges for $26 and the refurbished printer didn't print black properly. About two lines out of four will be missing, and then most lines will only print the top half of the line, making it unreadable. At the same time, I also had to replace the installer color cartridges with new $38 color cartridges before the printer even started printing. (It does not print at all when a message appears prompting you to replace the ink cartridge.) Black ink still does not print correctly. This was the same problem as my previous new printer until it stopped printing black ink soon after. I called Epson support again. Guess what? The refurbished printer had a hardware failure just like my previous new printer. Of course my printer is no longer under warranty so they will not replace the printer or refund my money. It was also too late to contact Revain for a replacement or refund. Epson purposely sent me a refurbished printer with the same problem as my new printer just so I didn't have to contact Revain for a refund like I had previously told them I would. They sent me a refurbished printer that lasted exactly as long as my warranty expired. Epson categorically refused to fulfill this order, replace this printer, or refund my money. They kindly suggested that I take advantage of the costly out of warranty replacement or repair options for this printer which would have cost me far more than the printer would have cost which is $0.00. Do you think I'm crazy? Why would I pay them to fix a printer that clearly has the same hardware problem as my previous one? You must have had the same problem with countless other WF-2630 printers to send me two with the same problem. Judging by Revain's reviews, this printer has received a lot of bad reviews. Most of the people who gave this printer a bad review had some of the same issues I did, just ran it for a short time and then didn't print properly in black. Epson Technical Support has very limited knowledge and will not be able to help you. They walk you through some basic steps that customers can already do themselves as they involve maintaining the printer itself, such as: B: Did you use an Epson ink cartridge? whether you removed the yellow tape from the ink cartridge before installing it; clean the printhead; and check the injectors. They'll let you go through these steps multiple times, even if you've already done it multiple times yourself, before you call them, then they'll tell you that your printer has a hardware failure. That's all they've done to new and refurbished printers. I don't have the cost of the printer at the moment, $76.08; the cost of eight new ink cartridges purchased to get these printers printing, $103 (more than the cost of the printer itself); three used color ink cartridges $?; six months with a printer that is not working properly or at all; and nine months of total frustration trying to get the printer to work, totaling $179.08 for Epson products and over $1400 in my time trying to get these products to work. DO NOT EXPECT EPSON TO SUPPORT OR REPAIR THE PRODUCT IF DEFECTIVE BECAUSE IT IS NOT! DO NOT EXPECT EPSON SERVICE OR SUPPORT IN OTHER COUNTRIES TO HELP YOU BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT! (WHEN THEY CAN FINALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY SAY). DO NOT BUY FROM EPSON UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY A LOT MORE MONEY BY PURCHASING ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS WHICH DO NOT ALREADY SUPPORT THE PRINTER! PURCHASING THIS PRINTER WILL COST YOU MUCH MORE THAN YOUR ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE AND YOU STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY FROM EPSON UNLESS YOU WANT POOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, WANT TO PAY A LOT OF ADDITIONAL MONEY, AND HAVE A DEFECTIVE PRINTER THAT WILL NOT WORK AFTER ALL THE EXTRA MONEY YOU SPENT TRYING! I would give Epson less than one star if it was even possible! Most of the good reviews on this printer sounded like they just got the printer and installed it. If they give it a few months, they'll probably want to throw theirs in the trash too. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this printer. It's not worth the hassle you have to go through trying to get the printer to work. While you can now buy this printer for about half what I paid for mine, it's not a bargain if you end up with a printer that stops working after a short time. There's a reason they cut the price of these printers in half! Printers aren't designed to be thrown away after a single use, but Epson makes them that way.
