Starlight on the patio

I hung the blue one on the inside of my ivy mesh fence in front of the yard and the bright white chicken wire on the neighboring side. Turn on the lights to hopefully keep water out by running the 6.5 foot part vertically and the 9 foot part horizontally. I put batteries in the controller and tested it before taking it apart myself. I closed the top and then the bottom of one side of the netting before carefully untangling the rest and attaching the ties first to the top and then to my side fence. I wrapped the battery pack controller in a rag, leaving the black wire controller sensor exposed for the remote to use; Then put it back in the quart to protect it from humidity and heavy rains in the Persian Gulf. I used to have a battery operated grate with lights and water got into the battery box so I learned my lesson. The trellis lights themselves were unaffected by the rain due to the heavy gulf storms we are receiving. I keep the remote inside by the door where I can enjoy the light when I'm sitting outside, then turn it off when I go inside. I didn't want solar lights left on all night because HOA rules are a bit strict on outdoor holiday lighting. A remote control will run both sets of lights at the same time as my batteries and black sensors are side by side. If I want to adjust something on one device, I cover the other sensor with my hand so that the signal doesn't reach it. I like that you can dim the light. I usually use a setting of 6 to alternate the fade, or a setting of 8 which leaves all the lights on.

Pros

Cons
  • Confusing
