Review on πŸ•οΈ Grand Trunk Micro Camp Stool: The Perfect Portable, Collapsible Camping Stool for All Your Adventures by Calvin Hodges

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Low Resilience

It's compact and sits low to the ground, making it ideal for walking and sitting while cooking with a fire or floor burner. The fabric quality of the seat feels solid, and the density and quality of the aluminum frame legs feel solid too. The biggest structural flaw of this item, however, lies in the hinges. It is not necessary to have a lot of weight to break the integrity of the frame. I weigh no more than 200 pounds (which is well under the advertised weight capacity of 250 pounds). As I sat down on the stool on my flat, level wooden floor, properly assembled with each leg facing out as instructed, I soon felt my joints buckle and begin to flex. I submitted a refund request within an hour of receipt. I could give this stool 5 stars if the manufacturer made higher demands on it: less resilience, don't lean to the side when sitting, just sit up straight and put your feet firmly on semi-hard surface (not hard ground like pavement) or stone, there allows the fleet to slide and the frame to flex, still soft as mud or grass as the feet sink in). As a camping stool where all of these conditions are to be expected, this item gets 1 star from me.

Pros
  • SUPER CONVENIENT - Portable and lightweight, the Grand Trunk stool breaks easily and is designed to be taken with you on trips and stowed in your travel bag when not in use.
