I confess I'm not a fan of hats. But I have long hair and need something to keep it in check when driving with the windows open in the summer (and also to protect my head when out in the hot sun). This hat has several advantages: + It doesn't make me look like a walking advertisement for a corporate group + It comes in light colors (very handy in sunny summer weather when dark colors simply absorb light and heat) Strong.+ Unlike some of the From reviews I've seen, mine has NOT been crooked or crooked. Maybe I'm just lucky? Because of these qualities, I'm not giving a one-star rating. But overall I'm disappointed. This hat is clearly designed for little heads. I love gender neutral marketing, but the thing is, it's only for women. I'm a 6'1" guy with a strong build, but that's not at all uncommon for a man. Slightly above average, but not uncommon. If I adjust the strap to its absolute maximum position and put it straight forward or back, it barely fits. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that this cap's sizing mechanism does not use traditional Velcro or plastic grommets like typical baseball caps. . If that were the case it could be left completely disabled to accommodate larger heads like mine. Instead, a weird strap/buckle is used to adjust the size of this hat, which (unlike normal velcro or plastic holes) can NEVER be fully undone for large heads without permanently severing the strap and permanently destroying all adjustments. - As I said, at the absolute max setting it barely fits if I wear it straight forward or backward. But unfortunately (and it's not the hat's fault, admittedly), wearing it straight forward makes me look like a white scavenger. If I put it on backwards I look like a tractor-pulled white garbage truck (don't ask). Wearing it sideways or at an angle finally makes it look serious on me. But therein lies the problem: this hat is so small overall, and so narrow even at its widest position, that when worn, it just isn't big enough to wear. nothing but rustic, straight ahead or back. Wearing it under one of those even remotely flattering Fresh Prince/Will Smith angles, I feel like it's so loose that even the slightest in-car breeze will pat it clean. But that's exactly why I need it. To be honest, even a regular women's headband works a lot better in this regard. (Don't laugh, I have daughters.) But as a solution, I can actually wear them in broad daylight without causing all sorts of false questions. This hat is the closest I've found, but it's still very, very short.
