I bought these to have a clearer oncoming traffic warning than my traditional turn signals when on the move. These lights are bright and reliable so far. The control unit was connected directly to the battery under the hood via a fuse. The remote control eliminates the need to run cables into the cabin. Make sure the control box is protected from water. The clips and lights survived the first high pressure car wash so appear to be more than adequately waterproof. For now, I've decided to use clips on the headlights to temporarily attach them to my car's grille. The clips hold the headlights securely in place, even during intensive car washes. Customer service was fantastic. I had a technical question about the lighting (no problem) and the company responded quickly. This was a great purchase for me.
