My 8-year-old daughter wears this hat all the time.

It is perfect for her pony tails and the adjustable strap below the pony tail opening is genius! The hat provides great coverage for her head, face and neck when out on the boat, at the beach, at the pool or on a nature walk. The neck strap was a must and it's pretty strong! This hat stays on while cruising on the boat! It handles the hot southern sun well and I am so thankful I found this hat!
