We adopted our dog and quickly discovered why she was up for adoption. She likes to escape, sniff, and go after bunnies, lizards, squirrels, birds, you name it. She even tried to chase after a huge white egret at the edge of a river. Not her fault she's got a high predatory instinct, but it was a problem b/c she wouldn't listen to us AT ALL when she'd get out and start running. So enter this little collar. I didn't want or need a huge vibration/shock collar b/c our dog is little, only 15 lbs. It specifically states to NOT shock dogs less than 15 lbs. So we kept this on vibration mode and had her wear this often. She got out not long after we got this and was wearing the collar. We tried the vibration and nothing. We changed modes to the lowest shock setting and had to do it twice about 50 feet away and that's all it took for her to stop. She did escape one more time without the collar but she actually listened and stopped. It's been a super helpful tool; I really like the charge it keeps. We've had it 6 months and even though we don't have to use it very often now, I've probably had to charge it maybe 7, 8 times in that time span. If she wore it all day long that would be a different story, but either way, this has been a great little collar. Now we mainly only have to use it for licking/barking tons. Usually, all it takes to snap her out of it is just putting this on her. We may have to vibrate it once or twice when she's wearing it. We've considered using this to help train her more b/c she'd be a great squirrel dog. But, there's no way we'd get her back if we took her in the woods to hunt unless we had this great little collar!
