Review on 💾 Toshiba N300 8TB CMR SATA NAS Hard Drive - 7200 RPM, 256MB Cache, 3.5-Inch, Internal, 6GB/s - HDWG180XZSTA by John Destruction

I use two of these in my Isilon NL400 with TrueNAS Core (12.0-U1). I bought twelve 8TB Barracuda drives (which I expected to die) to create a zpool with the expectation over time replacing junk Barracudas with decent drives. So far these Toshiba drives are working as expected and are CMR. Receiver went fast and they still work. It's hard to tell if they're durable or not as they're fairly new. If they die quicker than expected I will update the rating. The price is probably the cheapest of any NAS class drive you can currently buy.
