This fan is not quiet, but to be honest it is very quiet. I bought it for use at work and the noise level is just right for that. I can still converse and the breeze from the fan is more than enough to cool me down. As a warning, it's not as strong in terms of fan wind as some other models (like the Honeywell), but it's quieter. I would recommend it for its small size (it actually fits on my desk) and the fact that it's very quiet. *I read the negative reviews and discussed the purchase but I'm still glad I bought it. The truth is that absolutely silent fans don't exist, but this model is quieter than most. By the way, it comes in a box that looks a bit cheap.
