What laptops offer in portability, they lack in screen real estate, especially if you're used to multiple monitors. And when you're on the road, you definitely can't shove a full-size monitor in your carry-on and stand. So when I saw this on Revain for less than $120 I gave it a try even though I had never heard of SVANTTO. Unpacked, set up, supplied USB-C connected to USB-A. switched on the power cord and the monitor properly. I then connected the included USB-C to USB-C cable to the monitor as well as my Dell XPS 13 and PRESTO - the screen real estate suddenly more than doubled. Just a quick change of settings (on PC) from mirror to extension and I was good to go. Added perk: I temporarily unplugged the power cord to plug something else into an available outlet and the screen stayed on! Apparently, if your computer can deliver enough watts through a USB-C port, SVANTTO doesn't even need a power cord. Even more convenient! It also comes with a magnetic combo screen cover that also folds into a stand (although I tried several configurations - I couldn't figure out what it was. I already had one of those iPad stand pads so I just have it). I've used it and maybe I'll get to the flip cover later Also it's a great second screen that works well, it's thin and light and works great with my Dell XPS All five stars!
