Slightly constrained for a full illustration, ideal for drawing or animating writing!

After being an untrained amateur digital artist for almost 10 years, I recently decided to put down my pen for a while and make art with physical media. One of these tools is pen drawing. While pens may lack the flexibility of pencils and the richness of color, the art is defined by careful use of line, which is unique in practice if you're used to drawing with pencils or brushes. I saw these serrated tip pens and decided to try them. In summary, I found these pens work well with each other as long as you let their lines dry, and don't work well with gel pens. The lack of color variety limits their flexibility in full-page graphics, they are difficult to use in thin line graphics, but they are suitable for full-page graphics. Their colors are also darker than I expected. In detail starting with a note on thin lines. If you look at the bike in the picture I shared with this review, you'll notice that its lines aren't uniformly wide. Both tips of these pens draw thick lines compared to a standard pen or gel pen. So I resorted to a gel pen for tire and bike grips. This leads to the use of these pens with other pens. The gel pens wet and absorb the ink applied by the pens in this set. Because of this, I had to spend a lot of time redrawing the spokes of the bike wheel, and I carefully painted the spokes. I experimented a bit with blending the colors of these pens together but the results were pretty poor. Having no formal artistic background, I admit that this may be due to my lack of skills. However, if you allow the ink applied with one pen to dry completely (it literally only takes a few minutes), the ink from the other pen will be applied cleanly to it without smudging or blending. I originally painted the bike's frame pink, but it went too well with the red wooden wall it's leaning against. I just let the ink dry for a few minutes and then traced the frame with a blue pen. You can see that it has completely covered the original pink. And that leads to my remark about colors. I found the grip colors to be a little darker than I expected. Of course I knew they wouldn't be as bright as paint or crayons, but I was still surprised. As I said, the pink color was so dark that the bike's frame almost blended into the wall. Finally, while I enjoy drawing with a pen, especially when using gel pens, gel pens just don't have enough ink to see through a piece. full page art. Expecting that these pins would be the same I cut a piece of thick art paper in half and that half is what you see in the photo. I was pleasantly surprised to see that despite all the coloring I did in this quick art, there was still a lot of life in the pens I used. Keep in mind that even though this part was on half a piece of paper, I layered some areas like the bike frame and parts of the wall. Also, if you look closely, you can still see the directions of the lines. I mostly painted the wall with vertical pen strokes, the sky with horizontal strokes, etc. I find it charming that this art is saturated in color but still hints that it was drawn with a pen. To be honest, I'm not sure I would buy it again. Maybe I'll spend more time mixing these pencils and then deciding. At this point, I'd say think twice about considering them for a full-page design. Whether you're looking for a fun set of drawing pens or you need tools for a creative task like making a poster, these pens have you covered.
