They love to dress up and love to make things look real. They love special effects and are fascinated by the concept of looking offended or hurt but not actually hurt. We love this set. However, you need to experiment a little. The manufacturer recommends using extended oil, whatever it is. But I've tried both mineral oil and petroleum jelly, and both make waxing easier. You can experiment and after a while you will be able to create realistic looking cuts, scars, bullet holes, etc. I could not find any guarantees in the product information or in the product description. Once dry, it's a bit difficult to remove completely, but not to the point where it's a problem. If you've never worked with this type of material before, you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly through trial and error. But there are better kits for the same or less price.
