Good to Set a record - Wi-Fi operates on two frequencies, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. 2.4 GHz = longer range and slower, 5 GHz = shorter range and faster. Wi-Fi is governed by IEEE 802.11 standards. The 1200 Mbps in the product name is based on the 802.11AC standard, which UNITES the speed of all frequencies on which a radio device can operate. It doesn't do it simultaneously, it's either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. That's why the product description says "WLAN speed 867 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz WLAN band or 300 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band". 867 + 300 = 1167. full potential and lost some speed - so 1167 MB/s should actually be in the title. They then advertise "a gold-plated USB connector for a more stable and reliable internet connectionβ. This is another marketing myth. Gold-plated USB connectors mean nothing. That's just the outside of the USB connector, it doesn't interact with data transfer in any way. I could go on, but you get the idea. Get a much smaller and cheaper USB Wi-Fi range extender elsewhere.
