Don't waste your money

This foot has a very poor design. I don't think the person who designed this foot has ever sewn fabric with a 1/4 inch seam. The wording in excellent instructions tends to support my theory. Stitches, although in my experience stitches willing to handle it are very good at measuring their stopping distance. I gave the foot two stars instead of one because (a) it's well made and (b) the small needle hole is well thought out so the fabric doesn't bunch up and clump. 4" inseam, not the outside edge of the foot. Once the fabric has passed under the foot you have a good idea of where it is, unless you have x-ray eyes you can't see it. This will result in stray seams and frustration. Plus unboxing. You can see it in the second photo. Unboxing done. I'm not new to quilting. I usually use vintage Singer 15s. I rarely have problems with seam allowances. I bought a Brother CS 6000i because I needed a zigzag stitch machine to make garments out of stretch fabric and the price was amazing it's a great little machine comes with lots of accessories but until they make a better sewing foot or I find a better sewing foot I probably won't be using it.
