Review on 🔗 Universal Recovery Tow Hooks - XSTRAP 2PK, Rated for 10000LBS by Riley Skeet

The X strap says it is a 10,000lb tow hook. It says right on the box not to use it with a workload over 3500lbs. My single cabin Ranger short bed weighed 4,000 pounds. What could you use it with? they say, but this hook is forged. I suspect it's casting. When I emailed Strap X about this hook, they replied that I was talking about a £10,000 strap. I emailed the person, explained the error and asked about their tow hooks. Then the person answered me again and talked about the strap. The English was too good to be misunderstood due to the language barrier. I don't recommend this because it would be too dangerous to use anything other than an ATV. And of course that's not good for vehicle recovery, especially since the weight of most vehicles exceeds the payload for that hook, and if the vehicle has some resistance beyond that, such as e.g. B. dirt suction, this can be deadly. It's not worth the extra few bucks unless it's just for a sidewalk princess. Even then, the hook cannot be used in French. For another $2 you can get hooks that you can use.
