Review on 💡 POWRUI Surge Protector with 2 USB Charging Ports & 6-Outlet Extender - White (ETL Listed) by David Urbanski

We have not tested how well it works as a mains filter. But the combination of MOV, TVS and GDT should handle surges fairly well. As other reviewers have written, this thing can be pretty loose and downright wobbly if not secured properly. What's the best way to mount this thing to a standard duplex jack? First remove the center screw holding the locking plate (cover) over the outlet. Do not throw away the backup plate. Place the locking plate under the surge protector and keep everything aligned with the long screw that comes with the surge protector. Then carefully insert the surge protector into the sockets without letting the firing pin slip off and screw everything together. The surge protector wobbles a bit but stays in place. I only tried vertical orientation, which is what it was designed for. I don't know how well it will hold up in landscape mode.
