Doesn't fit all outlets

This is a great solid product but unfortunately it doesn't fit the outlet I wanted it for. There is a prong on the back of the power strip that does not match the top plug in the outlet. See attached photos.

Can't hold cell phone

I didn't know when I bought this item that it was for outlets. All outlets in my house are horizontal. So I had to mount it sideways, which left the phone holder empty and empty, which was an important feature for me. I wanted this for the bathroom and it served the purpose of giving me more outlets and I love that it screws in and stays in place where other types of extensions just plug in. Properly attach: Mains filter

We have not tested how well it works as a mains filter. But the combination of MOV, TVS and GDT should handle surges fairly well. As other reviewers have written, this thing can be pretty loose and downright wobbly if not secured properly. What's the best way to mount this thing to a standard duplex jack? Danger - fire hazard. Overheating/Melting. BOTH MODULES

Warning - this 'protective filter' is a hazard/fire hazard and is NOT safe. The connector area was fine for 4 months, then one day it overheated and literally melted the plastic in place of a pin. (See photo, top right pair of pins, left pin.) The product that plugged into the "surge protector" is simple / not dangerous / has nothing wrong and has nothing to do with overheating / melting. Like many people, I have too many electronics to connect. coincidentally. I didn't want a bulky extension cord in my room so I decided to get one of these because I'd seen them hover for a while and was intrigued. Very easy to install, just unscrew the middle screw for the socket cover and put it on top. Not perfect but good enough, I've bought more for other places.

All in all this is a great surge protector with the bonus of 2 USB charging ports. The two main cons for me are: (1) the case isn't designed to be flush mounted to the wall, leaving a visible gap between it and the wall at the edges of the surge protector, and (2) the surge protector is designed to fit over both Sockets mount in a standard outlet, but the Surge Protector protection device only plugs into the socket of one socket and then has a small plastic tab that fits into the bottom socket…

Great Product

Reading the reviews here it seems that Revain has combined reviews of two different products from the same manufacturer. I have several of the two products shown in the photos. I've read that some people complain that the product doesn't plug securely into the outlet. We don't have this problem. As shown in photo #1, there is no gap between the surge protector and the outlet. We attached the device to the wall socket with the supplied long screw.
