Clothespins are easier

I bought these to replace the clothespins on 12oz chips and coffee bags. I don't find them to be as effective or as easy to use as clothespins. They are too short for the width of a coffee bag. When I stack tent-shaped bags of chips or coffee on top to create width, they're difficult to close. I go back to clothespins or paperclips. They look well constructed.
